The Diploma of Event Management provides students with sound knowledge of event management processes and a broad range of event-related skills. Students learn how to work independently to make operational event management decisions. Students completing the course will be equipped to work in the diverse events industry, both in the planning and delivery of events.

- provide briefings to event team members on plans, operations and staging procedures
- write clear and concise event planning documentation and operational procedures
- generate ideas to improve event products, services, operational practices and efficiency
- monitor and evaluate financial performance of events
- develop and maintain knowledge of event industry practices, trends products, services and suppliers
- know the primary components of laws that specifically relate to the events industry and implement operational compliance practices for events including budget management, team leadership and customer service
- select and use technologies to support event coordination activities.

Entry requirements
Applicants require a minimum of Year 12 completion or equivalent.
It is strongly recommended that those entering this qualification possess vocational experience in events, or fields such as business, creative industries, hospitality, sport, tourism or travel; however this is not mandatory.
Applicants without formal qualifications but with significant relevant work experience are welcome to apply.
