Get in on the ground floor to a fun and fulfilling career in the ever-expanding gaming industry, with Swinburne’s Certificate IV in Information Technology (Gaming Development).

Whether it’s gaming, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), or anything in between, this course offers you the opportunity to begin with just basic computer skills and emerge with future-proof knowledge and skills that employees are looking for.

Using cutting-edge, industry-standard software, you’ll explore the methods to create stunning 3D assets and effects, and develop the programming skills to bring them to life in a game format. Just some of the skills on offer include:

  • 3D modelling
  • Character development
  • Animation
  • User interface (UI) development
  • Game, asset and level design
  • C# programming

Be it console or online apps, upon graduation you’ll have what it takes to turn your ideas into playable reality, and launch your own game, or begin your career as an animation, media developer or design assistant, or beginning 2D/3D artist or coder.
