How Sujit went from placement, to first teaching job, to kinder program leader

Sujit wanted a career that would make a lasting impact on future generations. With a Master of Business Administration under his belt, he decided to make the switch to early childhood teaching.

His placement at a Busy Bees childcare centre was a whirlwind, but Sujit was up to the challenge. He scaled the learning curve and landed a part-time role. Just two months in, they asked him to lead the kinder program after he graduated.

With his business credentials and a true passion for early childhood teaching, Sujit is on his way to achieving his dream – opening a childcare centre of his own.

Sujit Jakkula: I chose this course so that I can leave a huge impact on the future generations. Initially, it was like a career change option. I did Masters of Business earlier, but as soon as I got into it, the scope of this field provided me with the opportunity to interlink my previous study and this study and maybe down the line in the future, have a childcare centre of my own. My experience in this program has been rewarding. You can also work while you start studying, which was fantastic. All the learning experiences and the activities that we do in the seminars has helped me secure the job. It's only my second month. I got a promotion and they asked me if I want to lead and run the kinder program from next year. I said, I'll be honoured to do that. My name is Sujit, and this is my learning journey.
