Swinburne to host 52nd annual Camberwell Art Show

For the fifth consecutive year, Camberwell Art Show will be held in Swinburne’s Advanced Technologies Centre from Friday July 7 to Sunday July 16.
Held in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Camberwell, the Camberwell Art Show is one of the most acclaimed art shows in Australia, exhibiting some 1400 works.
“Swinburne and Rotary share a passion for serving others, advancing world understanding and encouraging goodwill,” says Vice-Chancellor Professor Linda Kristjanson AO.
“We are proud supporters of this major cultural event that generates valuable support for the important work of the Rotary Club of Camberwell.”
Swinburne’s relationship with Rotary
Over many years, Rotarians have supported Swinburne students through mentoring, awards, prizes and scholarships.
Rotary Clubs have also benefited from Swinburne students’ talents on projects such as branding, social media, and website redevelopment projects.
Rotary and Swinburne were each founded on a desire to serve the community.
In 2017, the Rotary Club of Camberwell helped establish a toddler-friendly ‘Business Centre’ for the Swinburne Young Mums Program and their new Cert II in Business curriculum, and contributed to the Financial Inclusion Fund for students in crisis.
In 2014, The Rotary Club of Camberwell also established the Swinburne-Rotary Community Services Award. In 2017, Diploma of Community Services student Bob Laidlaw received the award for his extensive community work and dedication to his course.
Camberwell Art Show opening hours
The gala opening of the show is being held on Friday 7 July from 6.30pm – 10.00pm.
From the 8 July -16 July, the show will be open to visitors from 10am till 9pm on weekdays and 10am till 5pm on weekends.
