Over many years, Rotarians have supported Swinburne students through mentoring, awards, prizes and scholarships.

Rotary Clubs have also benefited from Swinburne students’ talents on projects such as branding, social media, and website redevelopment projects.

Rotary and Swinburne were each founded on a desire to serve the community.

In 2017, the Rotary Club of Camberwell helped establish a toddler-friendly ‘Business Centre’ for the Swinburne Young Mums Program and their new Cert II in Business curriculum, and contributed to the Financial Inclusion Fund for students in crisis.

In 2014, The Rotary Club of Camberwell also established the Swinburne-Rotary Community Services Award.  In 2017, Diploma of Community Services student Bob Laidlaw received the award for his extensive community work and dedication to his course.
