  • The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rankings agency has placed Swinburne in the 81-90 band of universities under the age of 50

Swinburne University of Technology has been ranked for the first time in the QS rankings for the world’s top universities under the age of 50.

The QS Top 100 Under 50, 2015 is a ranking of the world’s top universities under 50 years old, based on the latest QS World University Rankings.  

This ranking reinforces Swinburne as a university with a depth of expertise in teaching and research, both in Australia and internationally.

Earlier in 2015, Swinburne was named one of the world’s top 400 universities by the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). The ARWU ranking puts Swinburne in the top three per cent of universities in the world.

Swinburne also ranked in the Times Higher Education Top 100 Under 50 for the first time in 2015.

QS previously limited the list to 50 universities but the worldwide increase in high quality universities has led to it extending the ranking by adding the ‘Next 50 Under 50’ list.
