‌Swinburne University of Technology hosted two international delegations on Thursday 28 August.

A delegation from Malaysia, led by the Minister for Welfare, Women and Family Development from Sarawak, the Honourable Datuk Hajah Fatimah binti Abdullah was visiting Australia to benchmark best practice in education, early childhood learning, welfare, women empowerment and employment.

The delegation met with Vice-Chancellor Professor Linda Kristjanson, Vice President (Student and Corporate Services) Stephen Beall and Vice President (International and Future Students) Jeffrey Smart.

They then toured the Hawthorn campus, followed by a meeting with students from Swinburne’s Sarawak campus.

In the afternoon, a delegation of high level officials from China, led by Dr Jianlin Cao, Vice Minister, Ministry of Science and Technology visited the Centre for Micro-Photonics in the Advanced Manufacturing and Design Centre to discuss potential research opportunities.
