Overview
In this program, you will develop your global career opportunities in the largest country in the Southeast Asia region. You will be immersed in the local culture and business environment over a 17-day period in Indonesia. You will work on a consulting project for an industry partner and have the opportunity to interact closely with senior business executives and managers and develop business strategies for the organisation in your consulting team. You will be guided and accompanied by academics and industry mentors with extensive experience in the region before and during the fieldwork in Indonesia.
In addition to obtaining academic credits for the core capstone unit (BUS30032 - Business Consulting Project) in the Bachelor of Business degree, you will diversify your study experience and gain a competitive edge in the global job market working on a real-life project for a client. You will apply and develop management consulting, intercultural communication, creative problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, and networking skills beneficial for future international professional careers.
Highlights / tentative itinerary
- Working on a real-life consulting project for an industry partner under the guidance of experienced academics and industry mentors
- Regular interactions with senior business executives and industry experts
- Networking with business executives, industry leaders and local students
- Presenting project outcomes to a panel of industry representatives
- Overnight trip to Batu
- Overnight trip to Mt Bromo
- Joint activities with Ciputra University (Surabaya) students on a day trip
- City tour in Surabaya and Malang to local landmarks

Eligibility
To qualify for this program, you must:
- be enrolled in an Undergraduate Business degree
- have completed BUS30031 or BUS30024 or 200 credit points in the Bachelor of Business & Bachelor of Business (Professional) degrees by the end of Semester 1, 2025

Funding your overseas journey may be easier than you think
New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant
This program has A$3,000 New Colombo Plan Mobility Grants available for eligible students.
These grants provide financial support to help alleviate the expenses associated with your overseas program. Australian undergraduate students that meet all eligiblity criteria may apply. Students can apply for a grant as part of the application process.
OS-HELP Loan
Eligible Australian students can also apply for an Australian Government OS-HELP Loan of up to A$9,893 (depending on your program location) to help cover costs associated with your overseas program.
