The Disability Transition Support (DTS) program provides support tailored for students with disabilities who are transitioning from secondary school into TAFE courses, including those from specialist schools and alternate education settings.

Getting started at Swinburne

We'll support you with your application and enrolment, show you around campus, help you prepare for classes, and sort out any issues that arise.

Guidance and support

You'll get advice on your career and courses, meet your teachers and support staff, and connect with Swinburne’s Health, Wellbeing and Academic Support team.

Meeting your goals

You'll receive a personalised transition plan to help you achieve your goals, along with a support plan to ensure you have everything you need.

How we help and what we need

Current high school students or recent graduates who are living with a disability, mental health condition, or medical condition and are interested in enrolling in a course at TAFE Swinburne.

You will need to provide relevant documentation about your disability and/or the adjustments you may require, along with your consent to share this information with appropriate teaching and support staff at Swinburne University.
