Abstract:
Adiabatic methods for transferring population provide interesting, and sometimes surprising, possibilities for quantum transport. Adiabatic techniques typically trade off the length of time over which a protocol is applied for increased robustness. In this talk I will review adiabatic passage through space, before showing new designs for geometric gates in multi-waveguide devices, digitally varied couplings, and dark state adiabatic passage through a chain of three spin-one particles.
