Diffractive Optics for 3D Display and Surface Plasmon Resonance Excitation

Dr. Kyongsik Choi

CMP, Swinburne University of Technology.

Friday 15th September 2006, 3.30PM, Seminar Room AR103, Graduate Research Centre.

Overall process of diffractive optics, such as theory, design, implementation, and its applications to three dimensional (3D) display systems, will be introduced. For nano-scale diffractive resonant application a multiple surface plasmon resonance excitation with a dielectric structure on a nano-scale metal thin film layer will be presented and analyzed using an analytic solution with recursive transfer matrix method (R-TMM) and a frequency-dependent finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method.
