Industry Consulting Project – Sri Lanka

Develop your global career in the dynamic region of Asia and work on a project for an industry client in Colombo, Sri Lanka. You will immerse in the local culture and business environment in a two-week period in the Winter Term. You will interact with the business and their key stakeholders and, together with your team, provide solutions and recommendations of value to your business client. You will be guided and accompanied by project coaches and mentors with extensive experience in the region before and during the fieldwork in Colombo.

The network developed with local business contacts, clients, and organisations in the program can be leverage for career opportunities in Sri Lanka and Asia.
- Visit the client’s business for the initial briefing
- Visits the client's business to gather information and conduct meetings
- Visit the manufacturing sites of the client
- Presentation of preliminary recommendations to the client
- Presentation of final recommendations to the client
- Day trip to Kandy
- Dinner event with the client and local partners
Can this unit be taken as an elective by students in any Swinburne degree?

|13 nights of hotel accommodation (twin-share) in Colombo including breakfast
A dinner function
Transport to and from client's offices
Day trip to Kandy (all meals included)
Travel insurance (subject to requirements)

The following types of fee help and funding are available to help eligible students with the costs towards this program:
- OS Help Loan of up to $8,149 (as at 2019)
- New Colombo Plan Short-Term Mobility Grants
