Why go on this study tour?

The 10-day course conducted in Northern Italy (near Venice) will provide a fully immersed understanding of the European Union from a country of the European Union. The course will address many of the basic aspects of the European Union but also from the Italian view of the EU. Guest speakers will be invited including the Australian Embassy officials as well as other experts on Italy and the European Union. Students will emerge from this program very conversant and aware of the way the European Union works and how it intersects the activities of the member states of the European Union.

Students will travel to the teaching location and start their class on 10 June 2019. The course will end on 20 June 2019 having completed assessment for the course. The first week will involve classes of approximately 4 hours per day although afternoons will be free to do some reading or event travelling to nearby locations like Venice. On the weekend we will all go out on a visit to the historic and fascinating city of Trieste on the border of Italy and Central Europe.
