Prayer and meditation spaces

Our prayer and meditation spaces are located in the multi faith facility and are safe spaces for individual searching and communal reflection. The facility can be used for group or individual prayer or simply quiet thought; it is here for people with faith and with no faith.

The multi-faith centre is located on level 3 of the George Swinburne building, 34 Wakefield Street Hawthorn. There is easy lift access to the centre.

The centre is open from 5am to 11pm, seven days per week. These spaces are not to be used for study purposes without prior arrangement.

We encourage diversity and practise mutual respect, and expect all people who use the facilities to respect difference.

Spiritual and religious groups on campus

Spiritual and religious groups are welcome to use our facilities for prayer, reflection and community gatherings.

There are spiritual clubs and societies on campus for different faiths.

All clubs and societies are run by Swinburne Student Life and we encourage you to participate in a club or society that appeals to you.

Bookings for prayer and meditation spaces can be made one semester at a time, using the online booking form.
