VET Student Loans

A VET Student Loan can help you pay all or part of your tuition fees if you're studying a diploma, advanced diploma or graduate certificate.

VET Student Loans let you defer some or all of the cost of your further education, until you earn above the minimum repayment threshold or the loan cap.

If you receive a VET Student Loan, the Australian Government pays the loan amount directly to Swinburne on your behalf. You then repay that loan through the tax system.

You can read about VET Student Loans in detail on the Department of Education and Training website or download their VET Student Loans information booklet.

Make sure you check the other loans and discounts and scholarships that you may be eligible for.

Continuing students

If you started your course before 1 January 2017, before you return to study (attend any class or log in to continue your course), you must opt-in to continue your VET FEE-HELP loan. Read how to opt-in.
