Enrolling in online units
If you would like to enrol in an online unit as part of your course, you can choose from the online units delivered by Swinburne. These units are also called Hawthorn online units.
You can also choose from units offered by Swinburne Online and Open Universities Australia.
Note: as of 1 January 2018, if you are an international student on a student visa (ESOS), you can only complete a maximum of one-third of your course online.
International students on a student visa (ESOS): As of 1 January 2018, you can only complete a maximum of one-third of your course online. If you exceed this limit, Swinburne will remove you from online unit(s) until you meet this requirement. Remember, you must always maintain a full-time study load across the year and in each compulsory study period for a course, you must be studying at least one unit that is not by distance or online learning.
