PrimeSCI! Live-Streamed Science Webinars

PrimeSCI! is now providing live-streamed hands-on science workshops for primary school-aged students.

Families can register directly for the sessions below or teachers can book a session for class with an incursion discount. 
For school "incursions" of greater than 45 students, PrimeSCI! can offer a discounted enrolment fee of $8 inc. GST. 
Please contact the PrimeSCI! Office for a discount code for the scheduled webinars, to organise an alternative payment method or to organise a custom webinar for your classes.

Our new PrimeSCI! Online Program will be delivered via Zoom WebinarWorkshops are scheduled to run for a minimum of 40 minutes, followed by an opportunity for a Q&A session, between PrimeSCI! presenters and participating children. 

Once families or schools have registered, they will receive an information pack within 24 hours, with lesson instructions, how to download and use Zoom and post-session activities.

We encourage our Junior Scientists, under adult supervision, to complete the pre- and post-session activities and post their results online (@primesci). We also encourage children to take part in the hands-on activities during the science workshops and Q&A chat led by our PrimeSCI! presenters.

Our lives are changing because of something we cannot see - but the unseen have always been around, and we have found ways of living with them on our amazing planet. Explore the incredible world of microbes (and viruses), the impact they have on our everyday life, and understand why we must do the things we are asked to do now, to protect ourselves and one another.

Forces in Motion (Grade 3 - 6)

It's time to dust off your fidget spinners and yo-yos or make your own, pre-session! This fast-paced session will frame student understanding of forces and how they interact. Learn the role of gravity, friction and magnetism in making objects move faster than the speed of sound.

Plastic Fantastic (Grades 5 - 6)
