FAQs: Course Duration and Structure

When are the classes held?

Classes are held Monday to Saturday, during the day and on some evenings.

Search the Unit of Study Timetables to view units you might wish to enrol in for the forthcoming teaching periods.

What is the availability of lecturers outside contact hours?

In the first class, all lecturers will discuss with you their contact numbers and availability outside class hours.

Summer and Winter Term: What are the units available and how many can I study?

Selected postgraduate units of study are available for completion during Summer or Winter Term.

Units of study offered during Summer Semester can be found on the Summer and Winter Term website.

Postgraduate students are eligible to enrol in a maximum of four units of study during Summer or Winter Term, provided there are no timetable clashes and the student meets all prerequisites.

If a student fails units they will need to talk to the relevant faculty as they may not be eligible to undertake Summer or Winter Term.

If I start a program full-time can I change it to part-time later?

Yes you can. You will need to consult your course coordinator regarding the switch to part-time or full-time study. The switch will be possible provided the classes you wish to move into have space available.

Postgraduate classes are often run in the evenings to make it easier for students to work around other work and family commitments.
