Aims and objectives
This unit aims at introducing students to a range of useful digital technologies for construction management.

On successful completion of this unit students will be able to:

3 Plan to utilise different digital technologies for construction

- Introduction to Building Information Modelling (BIM)
- Basics of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR) for construction management
- Application of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in construction industry
- Introduction to 3-D printing for building and infrastructure construction
- Application of laser scanning and remote monitoring for construction site operations
- Fundamentals of construction automation, artificial intelligence and other state-of-the art technologies for construction management
