Aims and objectives
The focus of this unit is on developing the pre-service teacher’s capacity to critically evaluate innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Underpinning this unit is the Design Thinking Methodology where pre-service teachers will implement a creative approach to contemporary innovative practices for teaching and learning using an inquiry model. Pre-service teachers will develop strategies for critical evaluation of a diverse range of approaches towards innovation and current practice. Pre-service teachers will integrate their knowledge to engage in a Problem Based approach to design, as well as creating and critically evaluating innovations in the education arena.
