Aims and objectives
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
1. Select and apply an occupational therapy conceptual practice model to children at different stages of development engaged in childhood occupations.
2. Select and apply professional practice models including family centred practice, cognitive, motor and sensory approaches which will guide assessment and intervention planning
3. Analyse person, environment and occupation factors to design an intervention plan for a child or group of children with complex problems.
4. Articulate professional reasoning and critique of evidence to justify and communicate intervention plans to children, parents, teachers and carers.
5. Demonstrate research and communication skills
