Aims and objectives
This unit aims at providing a focused exposure on the adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) for documentation and information management in construction projects.
Unit Learning Outcomes (ULO)
On successful completion of this unit students will be able to:
1 Identify and describe the essential roles and responsibilities for BIM implementation and management in construction projects
2 Generate necessary BIM documents using relevant standards during the project design and execution phases.
3 Explain the structure and the process of sharing and managing information using common data environment (CDE) in construction projects.
4 Apply advanced collaborative BIM tools and techniques for reviews, co-ordinations, installation verification and field issue management.
