Prerequisites
AVT10005 Private Pilot Licence TheoryAims and objectives
To provide students with the required aviation theoretical knowledge in the areas of Human Factors, Aerodynamics, Aircraft General Knowledge and Meteorology for the Commercial Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) as detailed in the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Part 61 Manual of Standards (MOS).

As the minimum requirement to pass the unit and achieve all Unit Learning Outcomes to a minimum standard, a student must Pass all assessments.
Content
This unit of study satisfies the theoretical knowledge requirements specified in the CASA Part 61 MOS for four of the seven subjects required for the award of a Commercial Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) by CASA. It consists of the following areas of aviation theoretical knowledge:
- Human Factors (including Threat & Error Management);
- Aerodynamics;
- Aircraft General Knowledge;
- Meteorology;
- Global Navigation Satellite Systems.
