Aims and objectives

To provide students with the required aviation theoretical knowledge in the areas of Human Factors, Aerodynamics, Aircraft General Knowledge and Meteorology for the Commercial Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) as detailed in the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Part 61 Manual of Standards (MOS).
 
Unit Learning Outcomes (ULO)
On successful completion of this unit students will be able to: 
 
1. Explain the engineering, aerodynamic, environmental and human factors that affect flying operations at the Commercial Pilot Level
2. Safely and accurately apply theoretical knowledge to flying operations at the Commercial Pilot Level 
3. Demonstrate an understanding of the unit content sufficient to pass the CASA Commercial Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) Theory Examinations for Human Factors, Aerodynamics, Aircraft General Knowledge and Meteorology
