Our graduates are well prepared for today’s competitive job market

Swinburne graduates are finding full-time employment faster than other Victorian graduates, according to new data released today by Graduate Careers Australia.

In 2015, more than two thirds of domestic undergraduate Swinburne graduates were employed in full-time work within four months of graduating.

Across Victoria, the rate of full-time graduate employment also rose from 65% in 2014 to 65.9% in 2015.

"Our graduates are well prepared for today’s competitive job market," Professor Chris Pilgrim, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education and Quality), Swinburne University of Technology, says.

"For over 50 years, Swinburne has been partnering with leading organisations to offer students authentic workplace experiences. It’s these experiences that allow our student to put knowledge into practice – a valuable skill that makes our graduates very appealing to potential employers."

From 2016, Work Integrated Learning opportunities will be offered to all new undergraduate students, no matter what field of study they choose, as part of The Swinburne Advantage.

"The Swinburne Advantage will offer a suite of programs to ensure all of our undergraduate students are prepared for a fulfilling career," Professor Pilgrim says.
