Study support sessions with academic development advisers

If you have failed a unit or been notified that you are ‘at risk’ or need to ‘show cause’, these study support sessions can help you get back on track.

In these group sessions, you will learn techniques and skills to help you overcome your challenges and improve your academic results.

By attending study support sessions, you are showing your faculty that you’re serious about succeeding in your course.

How we can help you

In these sessions you will learn tips and strategies to help you:

  • study successfully, write assignments and prepare for exams
  • manage your time and balance your study with your life
  • plan out your semester
  • stay motivated and resilient.

If you come to a group support session every week, you will have ongoing support and help maintaining momentum throughout the semester.

Come to a session

These study support groups meet every week during the semester for one hour.

Check when the sessions for your faculty are on, and come along to the room at the Hawthorn campus. You don’t need to book.
