Neurosciences and Physiotherapy Practice
Overview
This unit examines and consolidates the understanding of neuroanatomy, neuroscience, practical clinical skills and contemporary evidence to effectively assess, treat and manage individuals from diverse backgrounds who have a neurological condition. This unit further develops clinical reasoning skills based on the World Health Organization (WHO) International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) model and utilising evidence-based outcome measures. The unit outlines the role and scope of neurological physiotherapy in the inter-disciplinary setting.
