How to apply
You can apply for a postgraduate program at Swinburne by submitting an online or hard-copy application.

Applying for a postgraduate program by coursework
1. Complete the application form
You can complete your entire application online. Make a note of your unique application key and password so you can save and resume your application if you need.
You can also download a copy of the application form and submit it by email, post or in person.
You can list up to three course preferences on the application form.
2. Attach supporting documentation
You will need:
- certified and translated copies of previous academic results
- proof of your name and citizenship.
You may also need to attach other relevant documents or supporting information as indicated on your application form. This may include:
- certified copy of your academic award(s)
- statement of purpose explaining what you hope to achieve from your studies
- current résumé
- portfolio (design programs)
- academic and professional referee reports (psychology programs).
Supporting documentation must be certified as a true and correct copy of the original. This can be done by the issuing body. You can also get documents certified by a person qualified to witness a statutory declaration, such as a police officer, chemist, doctor or an accountant.
Photocopies of previously certified documents are not acceptable.
3. Submit your application
Applications, including supporting documentation, can be submitted online, by email, post or in person.
You will receive an email notification from Swinburne when your application has been received. Once your application has been assessed, we will notify you of the outcome

4. Accept your offer
If your application is successful, you will receive a letter of offer.
Once you have accepted your offer, you will receive an enrolment pack. This pack contains detailed information on what you need to do to enrol in your program.
Most enrolments can be completed online, but some programs may require you to attend an on-campus pre-enrolment session.
