Swinburne Housing Courses
Swinburne Housing offers Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Masters coursework degrees.
The flexible delivery caters to part-time and distance students.This is Australia's only national program for housing practitioners, (now extended to include New Zealand). The Graduate Diploma course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Housing (UK) and all the courses have been developed in consultation with the the housing industry.
Graduates will be able to move between community and public sectors with the knowledge and qualifications they hold. Features of the program include:
- A postgraduate professional qualification which provides knowledge and skills in research, policy development and systems of housing management.
- Courses designed for people working in the public and community housing sectors and related industries, such as real estate and property development .
- Applicants with at least five years appropriate work experience in housing management and administration, or in a related area, are eligible if they have an appropriate undergraduate degree.
- Courses are delivered by distance education with course notes on CDROM.
- The annual residential workshop provides a national student forum and supports course notes and tutorials.
