Kava for the Treatment of Generalised Anxiety Disorder (KGAD)

We are currently recruiting participants for a study testing the effects of a natural medicine called Kava for people with anxiety. This 18-week clinical trial is funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council and is being conducted by the Centre for Human Psychopharmacology at Swinburne University of Technology in Hawthorn.

To take part, you must be currently experiencing anxiety symptoms, and not taking antidepressants or mood stabilisers. Further inclusion criteria shall apply. Participants will be reimbursed $120 in the form of Coles Group and Myer vouchers for travel expenses. There is an optional brain imaging component of the study which offers further reimbursement.
