Entry requirements

English language requirements

All Swinburne courses require you to have achieved a certain level of English. The minimum level of English you need varies depending on the course for which you want to apply.

• IELTS and TOEFL requirements View a table showing IELTS and TOEFL requirements for different levels of study.
• Non-IELTS and TOEFL requirements You may not require IELTS or TOEFL if you have completed: English for Academic Purposes (Level 5); previous study where English was the language of instruction; GCE 'A' levels or an International Baccalaureate; or if you have studied English in some European countries.
