Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship
Swinburne has been producing industry-leading entrepreneurs since 1975. You could say it’s in our DNA. Our extensive experience and expertise in this area culminated in the creation of the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship (AGSE) in 2001 – Australia's first dedicated entrepreneurship school.
Based within the Faculty of Business and Law at Swinburne University of Technology, the AGSE conducts leading research and educational programs in all areas of entrepreneurship. This encompasses individuals starting new business ventures; large corporations pursuing significant new agendas for change and growth; social entrepreneurs seeking to improve outcomes in government and community sectors; and small to medium enterprises pursuing long-term sustainability.
Our graduates drive social change, deliver industry leading research and innovation and run multinational companies.

A personalised experience
Students have exclusive access to MOOC-style learning to provide invaluable insight prior to arriving in the classroom. Combined with one-on-one career planning meetings with our academic staff, they allow us to tailor each student’s experience to their goals.
Our ‘pracademics’ are ideally prepared to lead students as they navigate projects that have tangible benefits for their current role or project. They bring up-to-date industry-relevant content directly to our students.
Our postgraduate degrees address the full lifecycle of entrepreneurship by combining practical theory with experiential learning. They merge traditional skills with innovative thinking, taking a design-led approach to solving business problems and challenges.
The Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship is the address for entrepreneurship and innovation in Australia. A pioneer of entrepreneurship education worldwide, it is our flagship in creating an entrepreneurial mindset among all of our students, equipping them for the innovation economy.

What the course gave me was the confidence and the framework to take the plunge. There’s still a lot of uncertainty but the tools and support were critical in helping me make the decision. Without it, I wouldn’t be where I am right now.
