The Bachelor of Arts (Professional) is designed to foster your individual development and allow you to develop research and analytical skills that can be applied to a range of situations.

You'll learn how to gather, synthesise and assess information, how to conceptualise issues and how to express yourself effectively, both orally and in writing. All our bachelor degrees include a guaranteed Work Integrated Learning opportunity, which could be a placement, internship or industry-linked project.

This Professional Degree includes a mandatory 12-month paid work placement. You'll benefit from Swinburne’s unique industry partnerships, gain invaluable full-time work experience and earn credit towards your degree. In your final year, in the Grand Challenges: Making a Difference (ART30001), you’ll work in teams and develop valuable collaborative skills as you research innovative solutions to contemporary issues facing society.

International students in Australia who hold student visas are required to study full-time and on campus. Courses that are taught entirely online are only available to international students studying outside Australia or those in Australia who are not on a student visa. Online courses are not available to international students in Australia who hold a student visa.
