Course description
The Undergraduate Certificate of Business develops student’s ability to apply business skills to build solutions for organisations. This course challenges students to explore different approaches to analytical thinking, creativity and resourcefulness.
Course structure
To qualify for the award of Undergraduate Certificate of Business students must complete 50 credit points comprising:

The course emphasis is on knowledge and skills needed to understand business skills and the role it plays in organisations, and as a pathway to further study.
Aims and objectives
On successful completion of this Course students will be able to
- Define and apply knowledge, theoretical principles and technologies in business contexts
- Identify business issues, apply problem solving skills and demonstrate awareness of the impact of business decisions
- Work independently and collaboratively and communicate effectively using various technologies and strategies

Course fees and requirements
- Entry requirements and non-year 12 entry.
Students who participate in a six- or 12-month professional placement will be subject to an increase in total course fees.

Standard Entry
Please Complete One of:
• Successful completion of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or its equivalent, such as an interstate or international Year 12 qualification.
• Completion or partial completion of an approved tertiary qualification (including Certificates IV (completed), Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Associate Degrees and Degrees)• Applicants without a formal qualification may be considered for entry based on work experience.

Course Prerequisites
VCE Units 3 and 4: a minimum study score of 25 in any English (except EAL) or 30 in English as Alternate Language (EAL) or equivalent.
