Biography

Nyssa Hadgraft is a post-doctoral research fellow in the Centre for Urban Transitions. Her current research is focused on understanding the multi-level influences on physical activity and sedentary behaviour (prolonged sitting) as risk factors for chronic disease. A particular area of interest is identifying the organisational and environmental influences on activity patterns within the workplace setting to inform intervention development. Nyssa joined Swinburne in 2017 after completing her PhD at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute and Monash University. Nyssa has a Master of Public Health and uses a variety of epidemiological and qualitative methodologies within her research.
