Biography
I am a lecturer and architectural researcher in the School of Design and Architecture at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. I completed my PhD at Swinburne in 2021 and my research expertise is on the theory of Reflective Practice (in Design) and Team Learning (in Organisational Learning), to help designers articulate and translate their tacit knowledge to team members. I now specialise in architectural experience, architectural allegories, design cognition, and Generative AI for design.
As a designer, my background is in architecture, digital fabrication, and design strategy. I coordinated a digital fabrication laboratory, worked at international and local architecture firms, and am currently the managing director of s'more design. As an educator, I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate architecture and design subjects on topics ranging from design thinking to digital architecture since 2011. As a researcher, I investigate how designers think, act, and learn, and how using Generative AI change the way designers and design teams think, act, and learn.
