I worked professionally as film editor for 20 years across all areas of postproduction including feature films, short films, documentary, television lifestyle and commercials. During this time I set up my own company, Green Street Productions, and produced a number of short documentary films and installation videos including work for the National Gallery of Victoria, The Melbourne Museum, The Australian Tapestry Workshop and the Sydney Opera House.

I started working at Swinburne University of Technology as a sessional lecturer (2000-2004), and and after completing a Master of Design in Multimedia Design (2005) I was emplyed as a full-time Lecturer and Program Coordinator of the Bachelor of Film and Television. I subsequently held the positions of Academic Leader and Course Director of the Bachelor of Film and Television (Honours) (2012-2017). During this time I collabrated on a number of initiatives in expanding the national and international profile of Swinburne Film and Television including - initiating the short-term international study tour programs and extending international exchange partnerships, and in nominating Swinburne Film and Television as members of prestigious national and international film school organisations including ASPERA (The Austrailan Screen Production and Reserach Asociation), and CILECT (The International Association of Film and Television Schools). 

After completing a PhD as Practice-led Research (2015) and in my current position as a Senior Lecturer, my focus is Research, Teaching (postproduction and editing), and co-supervising PhD students.
