Dr Alex Codoreanu
Doctor of Philosophy, Swinburne University, Australia; Bachelor of Science, Physics, University of Minnesota, United States; Bachelor of Science, Astrophysics, University of Minnesota, United States
Alex is a research scientist with experience in designing and implementing distributed architecture solutions. He has experience in creating custom databases, cleaning large datasets and developing custom software products. He is interested in natural language processing techniques, language semantic analysis, graph databases and machine learning algorithms.
He is a PhD graduate from the "Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing" at Swinburne University. His PhD thesis focused on a census of physical matter in the Universe as traced by absorption systems in the spectra of quasars from when the Universe was just 1 billion years old. He has designed automatic detection techniques, developed individual priors for each observations and published statistical methods in high-impact research journals.
In addition, he has experience with low-level (assembly/FPGA) programming, physical hardware development and has worked and/or is proficient with C++/Python/Julia/IDL/mysql/bash.
