PhD topics and outlines

Characterization of complex phenomena in solar cell materials: Intelligent techniques (aritificial neural networks, evolutional computation, fuzzy system) will be applied for characterization of solar cell materials to accurately predict the elctrical parameters of the solar cell materials that undergo complex processes.

Development of intelligent techniques for Smart Grid applications: Intelligent techniques (aritificial neural networks, evolutional computation, fuzzy system) are needed to manage and control heteregeneous energy sources (thermal, wind, solar, etc.) connected to a smart grid.

Development of Intelligent Watermarking techniques: Currently, images are frequently being transmitted over wireless media, e.g., the Internet. In hospitals, airports and other organizations, image documents are being distributed through unsecure media.  In this study, we intend to use intelligent watermarking techniques in order to authenticate an image document.

Intelligent techniques for Wind energy prediction: Wind energy prediction is an important aspects of power scheduling in smard grid applications. Intelligent techniques (aritificial neural networks, evolutional computation, fuzzy system) are needed for accurate prediction of wind energy.

Machine Learnig Techniques for Business Applications: High risk is involved in financial business dealing with foreign exchange, and granting of loan. Therefore, highly accurate modeling techniques are needed to accurately predict the foreign exchange rates and prediction of bankruptcy. In this research project we intend to apply machine learning techniques for accurate prediction of foreign exchange, bankruptcy prediction and stock market prediction.

Machine learning techniques for drug discovery: In this project we intend to apply machine learning techniques for design and development of drugs for diabetes mellitus, for which no effectibe drug is now available.
