Pharmacoimaging
Using neuroimaging methods to investigate the impact of pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and nutritional interventions on the brain.
Our research centre has merged
The Centre for Mental Health and Brain Sciences was established in 2023 – merging together the Centre for Mental Health, the Centre for Human Psychopharmacology and the Swinburne Neuroimaging Facility – to lead Swinburne's psychological and neurobiological mental health research.
Our studies
Micronutrients and brain activity
This study examined the effects of four weeks of supplementation with a multivitamin/micronutrient on brain activity, measured with EEG and fMRI. Participants were aged between 18 and 40 years old and were in good health. They attended two sessions for the study.

Nutrition in cognitive ageing
This study examined the effects of a 12-month combined fish oil and flavonoid intervention on cognitive and brain ageing, measured with MEG and MRI. Participants were aged 55 years and older and reported subjective or objective cognitive decline. They attended three sessions over 12 months.
