In Summary

Swinburne College will, this Tuesday 21 October, launch its latest overseas venture with Nawaloka College of Higher Studies in Sri Lanka.

The partnership will establish Swinburne College in Sri Lanka, and help facilitate entry into Swinburne University of Technology, by providing local Sri Lankan students with UniLink and foundations studies programs, in science, engineering and business.

Currently in Sri Lanka undergraduate education at state universities is free but very competitive, this venture aims to provide Sri Lankan students with a more accessible higher education option.

Business Development Manager for Swinburne College Tim Field said “Many universities are invested in these markets and our vision is that by establishing our presence we will be able to open doors for students into our bachelor programs.”

“This is really exciting because the venture brings opportunities of recruitment and growth, with students transferring to our Australian-based or Sarawak campuses after the successful completion of their pathway courses..”  Mr Field said.

The launch is a realisation of three years of work for Swinburne College. The partnership with Nawaloka College will connect the College with industries throughout Sri Lanka, furthering Swinburne’s status as a partner of choice for industries and communities both locally and internationally.
