Ageing Webinar Series: Neuropsychological Symptoms of Dementia
Swinburne's Wellbeing Clinic for Older Adults presents a series of webinars featuring guest presenters who are experts in the field of mental health and ageing to cover issues relating to late life conditions and treatments.
This webinar will cover the neuropsychological symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases. Dr Luke Smith will explore changes that can occur in cognition, social cognition and behaviour as a result of developing a neurodegenerative disease. He will also explore non-pharmacological strategies and therapies that can be used to manage these symptoms.

About the presenter
Dr Luke Smith is a qualified clinical neuropsychologist who consults privately across Victoria and Tasmania. He is also employed as a mindfulness tutor at Monash University, and has a passion for education and skills training. Previous to gaining qualification as a neuropsychologist, Dr Smith worked as a behaviour management consultant and counsellor for Dementia Australia both in Victoria and South Australia. He has a particular research and clinical interest in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly those associated with movement disorders and younger people.
