Established by the Australian Government in 1990, APTEA’s goal was to assist countries of Central-Eastern Europe and Eurasia in their transition to the market economy by educating young professionals in modern business. APTEA alumni come from diverse backgrounds with experience in a variety of sectors, both private and public.

Since 1994, APTEA alumni have been meeting on a regular basis through the APTEA Congress providing a great opportunity for its members to build professional and business networks as well as maintain personal friendships. The Congress brings together APTEA alumni from around the world including Europe, Australia, New Zealand, America and Canada.
