Information for Housing Providers

This information is available to download in a word document Download this page

Each Swinburne University campus provides a free service to community providers wishing to offer accommodation. Making an offer is as simple as downloading the attached form and faxing, mailing or dropping it in to our offices.

At Swinburne we accept offers for three types of accommodation: vacant properties, shared houses and boarding or home away from home arrangements.

Most students seek accommodation fairly close to the university, so properties located in suburbs surrounding the campus are usually the most popular. Some students do choose to live further away if they have their own transport, or if the homes location to public transport is particularly convenient. If you are not sure whether your accommodation will suit the needs of our students please contact our office for assistance.

You are required to provide some basic personal information, such as your full name, complete address and telephone details, but these are only for office use. Sections of information that will be publicly available, such as first name and a contact number, are clearly indicated on the form, and will only be provided to Swinburne students who have verified their identity.

It is up to you to arrange an inspection and provide details such as your last name and address when you speak to the student. We provide an information service and do not match students and providers for accommodation needs, though we are happy to assist with information and provide standard forms such as rental agreements and condition reports where possible.
