The Human Resource Management major focuses on how to successfully manage people, create a productive working environment and build a positive workplace culture.

You will gain skills in core areas such as organisational behaviour, industrial relations, diversity and fostering an inclusive workplace, performance management and innovation, international HR management, employee health and wellbeing, data-driven decision making and evidence-based management.

Real examples and strong industry input will prepare you for the many career opportunities in this large and growing employment area.

This Human Resource Management major is professionally accredited by the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).

The Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Honours) / Bachelor of Business offers students technical expertise in civil engineering principles plus business skills that are highly valued in large engineering consulting firms. These skills will also be advantageous for roles in construction management. Students gain the technical expertise and management skills needed to plan, design, construct and maintain infrastructure such as buildings, bridges, dams, water supply systems, waste treatment systems, road and rail networks, airports and seaports. The course teaches comprehensive engineering theory and offers students hands-on practical design experience.

Students apply their learning in a professionally focused, multidisciplinary project during their final year of study. They also undertake at least 12 weeks of relevant work experience and can choose to complete postgraduate-level elective units.

This course has been replaced by the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Bachelor of Business.
