Tertiary Education for Sustainability
There is no doubt that tertiary education is fundamental to ensuring a sustainable, low carbon future for Australia. The challenge for tertiary education providers is to equip learners with the skills and knowledge for sustainability and to model sustainable behaviours in the workplace. The Tao of City Cycling focuses on understanding the nature and behaviour of sharing the road with other users. How to be empowered in a vulnerable state.
Through the course you will learn to understand and evoke cautionary methods of thinking and action in order to prosper a dynamic harmony with other road users – making commuter cycling a safe, healthy and enjoyable experience.
Also included in the course comes our presenters combined years of experience and tips on bike security, equipment, mechanics and more …
The free course begins 10 November and runs for four sessions 5:30-7:30pm (Wednesdays), the last of which involves a practical road exercise through the CBD. The course will be held at Swinburne's Prahran campus in the PU building room 203, 144 High Street, Prahran.
