The Living Well, Working Well website is designed to help you to:
- cope with a challenging situation or event and;
- feel able to manage your reaction to the challenging situation.
When we experience an event that we feel is challenging or difficult, this can have a big impact on how we feel and how we behave. There is much that can be done, with relatively little effort, to help improve your wellbeing following a challenging event.
Living Well, Working Well Website content includes six sections. These sections are:
- Introduction
- Our Thoughts
- Our Bodies
- Life Coping Strategies
- Enhanced Wellbeing
- Miscellaneous
We recommend that you read each section and practice the suggested techniques.
This website was created at Swinburne University, in association with BP Australia. It is based on current health and wellbeing information and the well established principles of cognitive behaviour therapy.
Seeking Additional Help
It is recommended that prior to using this website you have a check-up with a health professional. This can help to verify whether there are any specific physical or mental health issues that need to be treated. A check-up is strongly recommended if you feel that your response to the challenging event is severe enough to cause significant distress or to interfere with your functioning at home, work, socially, or in other areas of your life.
