Low-cost counselling and clinical psychology services

Help is on the way: Support for individuals, couples and families in the community.

clinicPeople seek counselling for many reasons - when they feel (or know) they aren't happy in general or because of something very specific, such as the loss of a job or difficulity in personal relationships. Counselling can provide the long- or short-term support to help you feel they way you want to and help you through difficult times.

Usually there is no waiting list for the Clinic's individual, couple and family counselling service. We aim to arrange your first appointment within a week of your enquiry.

Special provisions can be made for people from non-English speaking backgrounds and bi-lingual counsellors are often available.

We accept self-referrals as well as referrals from health professionals. All members of the community can access our services. Counselling can be accessed independently or alongside other pharmacological services by all members of the community.

Fees and payment

Consultation fees for psychological counselling are calculated on a sliding scale at a rate of $1.00 per hour for every $1,000 of family income. There is a minimum fee of $20 to a maximum of $60 per consultation and the initial appointment attracts a $10 administrative fee.

Payments must be made by cash or credit card.
