Finding Journal Articles
Databases enable you to search for articles on a particular topic:
- Academic Search Complete on Ebscohost A comprehensive scholarly, multidisciplinary full text database, with more the 5,300 full text periodicals.
- APA-FT (Australian Public Affairs Full Text) on Informit Current articles on Australian political, economic, legal, social and cultural affairs.
- Ejournals Database on Ebscohost Indexes thousands of electronic journal titles. Full text available online for selected titles.
- Expanded Academic ASAP on Gale A multidisciplinary database covering 2000 titles (more than half in full text) and a wide range of subject areas.
- Humanities & Social Sciences Collection on Informit Provides access to full content from a range of journals, monographs and books, conference proceedings, research papers and reference materials. Covers a broad range of subjects including Arts, Asian Studies, Cultural Studies, Education, Health, History, Indigenous Studies, Law, Media, Political Science and Social Sciences.
- Humanities International Complete on Ebscohost Includes the Humanities International Index (indexing and abstracts for more than 2,100 journals) plus unique full text content including over 800 fulltext journals in the humanities, with some politics journals.
- Sage Premier Full text access to over 450 journals published by Sage, access is generally from 1999 onwards. Includes political science journals.
- Scopus The world’s largest abstract and indexing database. It also includes the journals indexed by ScienceDirect. ScienceDirect is a full text science database with some politics journals.
- SpringerLink Full text articles from almost all journals published by Springer. Includes politics titles.
- TVNews on Informit Provides online access to news, current affairs and selected documentary programs that have been broadcast on Australian television such as Four Corners, Catalyst and Cutting Edge.

- Web of Science Provides access to current and retrospective multidisciplinary information from approximately 8,700 of the most prestigious, high impact research journals in the world. You can search most disciplines and time spans back to 1982 to uncover information relevant to your research.
