Finding Journal Articles
Databases enable you to search for articles on a particular topic:
- Academic Search Complete on Ebscohost A comprehensive scholarly, multidisciplinary full text database, with more the 5,300 full text periodicals.
- Ejournals Database on Ebscohost Electronic Journal Service indexes thousands of electronic journal titles. Full text available online for selected titles.
- Expanded Academic ASAP on Gale A general subject database covering 2000 titles with 1000 in full text.
- MasterFILE Premier on Ebscohost Provides full text for 1,220 journals covering general reference, business, health and other subjects, including philosophy.
- Philosophers Index on Ebscohost Provides citations and abstracts from over 400 scholarly journals in the discipline of philosophy from 1940 to the present.
- Religion & Philosophy Collection on Ebscohost Provides full text from nearly 300 journals covering religion, philosophy and related subjects.
- Religion & Philosophy Collection on Gale Provides access to articles from approximately 250 journals covering philosophy, religion and related topics.
- Sage Premier Full text access to over 450 journals published by Sage, access is generally from 1999 onwards. Includes some philosophy titles.
- Scopus The world’s largest abstract and indexing database. It also includes the journals indexed by ScienceDirect. ScienceDirect is a full text science database including some philosophy titles.
- SpringerLink Full text articles from almost all journals published by Springer including some philosophy titles.
- TVNews Provides online access to news, current affairs and selected documentary programs that have been broadcast on Australian television such as Four Corners, Catalyst and Cutting Edge.

- Web of Science Provides access to current and retrospective multidisciplinary information from approximately 8,700 of the most prestigious, high impact research journals in the world. You can search most disciplines and time spans back to 1982 to uncover information relevant to your research.
