Quicksearch will often retrieve a large number of hits. If you need to conduct a more sophisticated search, try searching one or more of the individual databases listed below :

indexes more than 600 periodicals, plus books, research reports
and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification,
cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information
management and more. Coverage in the database extends back as
far as the mid-1960s

- APAIS - Australian Public Affairs Information Service (Informit) indexes current articles on Australian political, economic, legal, social and cultural affairs.
- APA-FT - Australian Public Affairs Full text (Informit) is based on APAIS and includes full text articles.
- AustLit
- Australian Literature Index (Informit) references to oems,
plays, novels, short stories, critiques of books, awards and
grants. This database only works on a computer on campus and
Swinburne's subscription has ceased so there are no entries
after April 1999.
- Web of Knowledge includes Web of Science (Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index) and Current Contents Connect. Coverage is available from 1997 onwards.
